Spring Clean Up Information
Elba Township
Unwanted metal during Scrap metal Drive April 27th 9am-noon at 4717 Lippincott Rd.
Will accept: radiators, washing machines, tools, pipes, silverware, pans, shovels, cast iron mowers, grills, bikes, furnaces, railing, shelving, siding, fans, file cabinets and engines. Junk cars and tires will also be collected during the drive.
Will not accept: Farm Tires, liquids, dirt, concrete, asphalt, shingles, refrigerators or any building materials.
Metamora Township & Village of Metamora
May 11th from 8am-noon at Metamora Township Hall on 730 W. Dryden Rd
Will accept: scrap tires (unlimited), brush and tree branches and documents for shredding (only 5 boxes of shredding),
Will not accept: No hazardous waste
City of Lapeer Residents only
Will occur on May 6th. Please have all items to curbside by 7am.
Leaves, grass clippings and small loose materials need to be bagged or boxed up to 40 pounds.
Constuction timbers and other lengthy items must not exceed 5ft.
Brush, tree limbs and broken concrete must be separated from trash.
Will not accept: Hazardous waste, toxic materials, liquids, tires, motor oil, pesticides, paint, paint solvents, and anti-freeze (refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners)

Clean Sweep Pesticide and Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
May 1st in Lapeer and Sept 18th in Imlay City
Lapeer residents have until April 29th to register at www.lapeercountymi.gov
May 1st will be the first event and will occur at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore yard 1633 N Lapeer Rd in Mayfield Township
Will Accept:
Pesticide/insecticide/herbicide/fungicide and fumigants, antifreeze, drain cleaners, household batteries, fluorescent tubes/lights bulbs, mercury, oil-based paint and thinners, pool chemicals, turpentine/shellac.
Will not accept:
latex or enamel paint, enamel, tires, car batteries, motor oil/gasoline, ammunition/explosives, smoke detectors, biohazards (syringes), construction materials and appliances, Rust-Oleum products
